Yes, it’s been a while. October was a tough month, sickness in the family and we lost two of our dog pack. Only one old guy left standing. To say it’s been a hard month would be an understatement.
However, that’s not what this post is about. I want to tell you a story about the four boys when they were young. Those four went with us everywhere and the first stop when they were young was a town in the Arctic. We moved into a small condo and all was well for a few days, until the plumbing failed. We contacted the housing authority and they promised to send a plumber ASAP.
We warned them to make sure we were home before he entered because of the dogs. Yep, you guessed it. We came home to a van in the driveway and the bathroom door locked. All four dogs were staring at that door, Jocko and Piper with ill intent, Odie not sure if he wanted to kill or play tug-o-war, and Bran willing to go with whatever way it went.
A voice from the bathroom begged us to call them off, but I had a few words for him first. “Did you hurt one of my dogs? Did you fix the toilet? Next time you’re told to wait until I’m home are you planning to do it? Eventually we let him out and the dogs escorted him to the front door rather quickly.
So, end result? A round of biscuits for the house and a wild run on the snow covered barrens.
The boys in happier times.
So, on to the writing scene. I have to get back into the game and I know it. That’s why I signed on for NaNoWriMo. I’ll be working on the third book in the Children of the Wild series. However, for those of you who enjoy the Children of the Goddess series, book #6 should make its appearance this month. There will also be more upgrades from the St. John’s series of romances. So, let’s have at it!
Bright Blessings to you all
