Missing in Action

Hi folks,

Perhaps I should have said I’m missing all the action. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been caught up in home renovations, car trouble, and trying to mourn the loss of a dear friend. Yes, he was just a dog, shot and left for dead on the barrens, but he was found and turned in to the town shelter where he was due to be put down. That’s when we heard about him. Now, in the old days, if they hanged you and the rope broke, you were free to go. Feeling this guy deserved the same deal, we took him in, had him patched up, and for nearly fourteen years he was my constant companion. Always happy to see me, never complaining, and I’m not ashamed to say I miss him. Rest in peace, my darling boy.

Now, on the writing front, I haven’t been a total slug. I have two completed manuscripts on my computer, one a romance in a series I started a few years ago then dropped for some reason, the sixth book in the Children of the Goddess Series is complete and should be out before Christmas, the second in the Elvish Chronicles is in the works, plus I’ve signed on for NaNoWriMo. I’ll be working on another of the Children of the Wild series during November.

So, having said all that, now I have to get back to sanding the plaster on the new wall. sigh

Hope you’re all having a great October

  1. So sorry for your loss, Pru. He looks super sweet! And congrats on getting so much writing done. Your productivity astounds me.

    1. Thanks Kassandra. This dog taught me the meaning of the word compersion. No matter which animal or human was getting the attention he would wag his tail and grin.
