It’s been a while since I posted, but I’ve been busy. Honest. Doing what? Why writing, of course. I’ve completed the much requested sequel to Lady Blue. If you liked this one:
You’ll love the next one. The Lady of Justice is all ready to go, just waiting for the cover to be finalized. So, here’s a peek between the covers:
Sometime between Tasha Stewart witnessing the murder of her parents and the attempt on her life, she made a deal with a goddess. In exchange for super powers Tasha would bring Justice to the city. A cold relentless Justice, no lawyers, no courts, and no mercy. Can she deliver on her promise and still remain who she is at her core, or will she be absorbed into the cold unfeeling force that is Lady Justice?
“So, what’s the story on justice? You’re not likely to find any of that in this country, not anymore.”
“I’m not looking to find it, Freddy. I’m here to bring it. First I’m going to find out what really happened with my parents. Why they were killed, why the cops wanted me dead, and what the heck was on my cell phone that started it all.”
“Okay, what happens then, girl?” he asked, sinking to the concrete floor and resting his back against the rusty wheel of the subway car.
“When I find out why, then I’ll know who. And then they die.”
“Sounds reasonable to me.”
“Girl, I have seen shit, and done shit, all in the name of a system that destroyed me, lied to me, and then threw me away. They trained me to kill without conscience, but it didn’t work, not completely. Look, I’ve drunk myself into oblivion dozens of time to quiet the voices in my head, to stop the nightmares. I’ve stood up on the top of the bridge deciding if I wanted to jump or not a few times too. Let me help you, girl. If I get gunned down in the process, well, it’s no great loss to the world.”
Okay, that’s it for today. As soon as I have a cover I’ll get it to the published so we can get this out in time for the Christmas holidays.
