So, merry Christmas and happy reading. I’ll see you all again in the new year with a new book in the Forgotten words series.
It’s early morning and snowing out right now. The house is quiet, and I was looking for inspiration, so I checked the author review pages on Amazon. I often get some great ideas from the reviews. Here’s the first seven reviews I found, six five-star, and one four-star reviews.
Great sequel to Suvi. Enjoyed it. As the author states in her afterwords, her writing style is a bit different but boy can she spin a good yarn. You should read Suvi first to know what’s going on in Echo.
Once again Prudence has succeeded in creating a wonderfully complex and fascinating story. Well crafted characters that pull at your heart and bring laughter, tears and wonder. I am so looking forward to the next chapter in the SUVI universe. It’s a bit like watching the original Star Trek unfold on pages. New places, life forms, drama and romance. Wonderful!
It was a strange day yesterday. I went grocery shopping in the city. I left the house at 8:00 a.m., the boats were running late so it was close to 11:00 by the time I reached the city. By 1:00 p.m. I’d finished and headed home. 4:00 p.m. I arrived. Dang boats.
Now, on the upside, when I got home I checked for reviews on Goodreads. Here are two:
If you enjoyed SUVI then you will love this second instalment of the series. Following the lives of the crew onboard the spaceship ‘Reacher’ as they explore the universe for a suitable planet for the colonists to settle on. As with all explorations, there are setbacks, unforeseen situations that arise along with unexpected gains and alliances. This book has it all, not only that but we get a deeper understanding of the characters we were introduced to in SUVI. If you enjoy SciFi, mystery and intrigue then this is definitely the series for you. Very well written and kept me reading continuously until I had the book finished and was left wanting the 3rd book to delve straight into, unfortunately, I have to wait for the 3rd book.
I’ve enjoyed reading books with strong female main characters since I was a teenager reading about Ayla in Earth’s Children series.
SUVI held my attention and I was up all night reading, something I haven’t done in a few years. This was well written and I didn’t find any mixed up sentences or misspelled words.
I really hope this is the first of a long series. I’m actually excited to find out what happens next.
Well, we’re into August now, and these long hot summer nights just beg for a cooling fan and a great story. Here is a host of possibilities from author Elizabeth Andre.
Here are six more stories of women meeting the women of their dreams, having sex, falling in love and having sex again. Each story is also available individually. Each book can stand alone. These lesbian contemporary love stories include graphic sex and are intended for adults only. Here’s where to find them:
Well, it’s time for me to tell you about another new author I’ve just encountered. Claire Stevenson has reached into the depths of our human experience and brought forth a story and characters all too many of us can relate to. Here’s Claire to tell you a bit about Escape and Freedom.
Two women escaping their own demons. One stuck in the past, the other a very real present.
Lucy Owens’ life was irrevocably changed in a matter of seconds. Life as she knew it was over in the blink of an eye. Moving away from all that she knew, Lucy now lives a solitary life in her cabin on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Filled with guilt and pain, she keeps herself to herself, and for years she manages to avoid immersing back into society.
Nicole Granger has three small children to worry about. Always looking over her shoulder, they arrive at the lake with very little to call their own. Haunted by years of physical abuse, she longs to belong again, to bring normality to her girls’ lives for the first time.
Both women are pulled towards one another in an attraction that could bring both of them their freedom.
So, there you go folks, that ought to pique your interest. Looks like a great story for a hot summer’s night, right?
Well, it finally happened, we in Newfoundland finally got a warm sunny day, we all went into shock. I really should be out there cutting the grass, weeding the garden, or any of a dozen other chores that are overdue. So what am I doing? Sitting here at the computer working on a sequel to SUVI. I can’t seem to get that story out of my head.
What, you haven’t read SUVI yet? Oh now, you’re in for a treat. Check it out:
Enslaved as a child, her DNA altered until she was barely half human, Jeannie Sorenson still managed to engineer her escape back to the ship that brought her to that deadly planet. Could the humans accept her now that she was half alien? Could she learn to interact with them and still retain her freedom? And why the hell did they keep asking her for answers when they didn’t want to hear them?
Looking for a good weekend read? Check this out, a new book from K.C. Luck. When the lights go out forever, can we survive, can love survive? The book is Darkness Falls by K.C. Luck. Here’s a bit about it in her own words;
When four women from different walks of life are brought together by fate to witness the end of the world as they know it, each must find a way to survive against the odds as well as learn to rely on each other.
I’ve been off world for a while, but I haven’t forgotten all you awesome Earthlings. For those of you who aren’t aboard the spaceship, here’s a great new romance novel for you from Maria Siopis, Music of the Heart.
Here’s Maria to tell you a bit about it:
“Danielle, a New York media executive and owner, Melina, a Greek singer, and Vickie, a flight attendant, will unexpectedly meet, and their lives will change forever.
Danielle believes that the island of Santorini is the perfect getaway and where she hopes to find tranquility. All elements are there to grant her wish, the vastness of the Aegean Sea stretches in front of her for miles, and the rented villa is luxurious and minutes from the town of Oia where the most stunning sunsets occur, and where exquisite white homes with blue domed roofs climbing the mountainside. What she doesn’t expect is to lose her serenity within hours of arrival to the island. Nevertheless, she completely surrenders herself when she meets Melina who threatens to destroy her inane beliefs about love.
Melina is curious about Danielle, the intriguing woman she meets backstage after her concert, but she keeps her distance. Her life is settled, she has a fiancé she adores, and a career that’s taking off. That’s her destiny, yet, a brief moment, a tiny nanosecond changed everything. Her path is crossed, and she is too late to change course. She collides with her destiny, the perfect mate who is right in front of her. Can she make a choice that is truthful to her heart or is she going to allow accusations and lies destroy her better judgment?
Vickie stands between the two lovers claiming Melina’s heart when the dark secrets and lies are exposed. Is Melina going to give in to the gorgeous flight attendant or will her heart be taken by Danielle? In a moment of hurt and disbelief Melina takes the wrong path.
Yet, music cures broken hearts, music mends broken souls. Or so Melina believes.”

Well, SUVI has launched and I’m thrilled with the response. I got the idea for Forgotten Worlds a few years ago, but let it percolate in the chaos that is my mind for a while. Several months ago SUVI 5 came to me and asked her story be told. I promised to do that for her. This book is the first step in fulfilling that promise.
