Power and Opinions.

Hi folks,

Words can have a great deal of power, and words well written even more so.  I try to use my words to entertain, to carry the reader from this world of stress to a different world, give them an adventure, take them away for a few hours.  Sometimes I get it right, and sometimes I don’t.  This time I think I got it right.  I know each person experiences a story differently, and that experience can be good or bad.  Here’s a couple of reviews of The Oregon Incident which tell me that, in these folks opinion, I got it right.

 Wow November 12, 2017
I’ve got to say this one brought tears to my eyes, yes cried like a baby, but it’s such a good story.  Book five is just as good as the other four, great characters and the new characters are just as interesting.
What a great series November 15, 2017
This, as all the rest of the Children of the Wild, was a great story. Familiar characters and new characters all blending into new experiences. Lady Hawk is turning into a very strong character in her own right. This story brings Mobutu’s actions back into focus. Touching once again with the atrocities of his madness and bringing the wolves & vampires to the front defending themselves and the humans.

Freedom Reborn

Hi folks,

Today I’ll tell you a bit about the Elvish Chronicles.  For thousands of years the High Born Elves have languished in the chains of slavery, their great strength gone, their extra keen senses dulled, and their immortality broken. Somehow, in spite of their harsh master’s efforts, the royal line managed to survive. Now, with the aid of a deadly assassin, the heir is about to shake off the chains of slavery, expose the lies, and bring her people to freedom. And she has no idea the magnitude of the task she has undertaken.

The Brink of Destruction

Hi folks,

For untold thousands of years the vampires have walked among us, secure in their power and uniqueness, but now they teeter on the brink, for the humans have made a discovery that could spell the end of the vampires.  Humans have found the werewolves.  The wolves themselves have gone unnoticed and unknown for centuries as well, but now they’ve been found, and captured.  The vampires have no choice but to help the children of the wolf.  See the whole adventure here!

e-book

I originally wrote the Immortal Tigress on a whim, just to add my own take on vampires.  A long time later I was challenged by a fan to give my version of a werewolf.  I gave it a shot and the Children of the Wolf series was born.  Yes, I fell in love with the characters and even now I’m working on another book in this series.  Go ahead, check it out.  I bet you’ll like it. 🙂

Well, back to work for me.

After the Fall

Hey folks,

Well much of the storm has passed and now it’s time to breathe.  The work of clean up can be hard and tiring.  At the end of day is a perfect time to sit back and relax with a good book.  Here are a few suggestions and where to find them on Playster.

The First One

Hi folks,

I’ll tell you where it began, and how, but it was long ages before she arrived here in our midst.  The blood drinker, vampire.  How did she become what she is, how did she get this way?  It was a collision of events, and against seemingly impossible odds, it happened.  The first immortal was created.  It would be millenia before another appeared.

To get a small sense of the endless years, the loneliness, the hunger, the driving need for blood, you’ll have to read her story.   Therein you will learn of how she came to be, and of how she managed to survive into this age.  You will also get a glimpse of what it will take for her to continue to exist unseen, her and her offspring, for she is no longer the lone vampire.

e-book

Originally this was meant to be a stand alone book, but so many of you encouraged me to write more I did a sequel.  Yeah, you guessed it, I’m currently working on book five of the series.  We hope to get it out this fall.

So, go ahead, check out the woman from the distant past.  Step out of this world and into another for a few hours, share the adventure with her.

Until next time,

However, the Elves aren’t completely alone out there, and they will have many encounters before the snows melt in spring.  Want to know what happens?  Here’s where to get your copy of A Winter Siege.

Yep, She Did It Again.

Hey folks,

Well, she did it again.  The publisher put up Novan Witch for $0.99.  I have no idea how long the sale will last, so grab a copy today.

Novan Witch by Prudence MacLeod

e-book

Got it, okay great, now before you start reading, let me tell you how it came to be.  I had an idea for a series about a race of super humans.  As I began to work on it I realized I had way too much back story, so I decided to make the back story a novel on it’s own.  So far so good, but I was barely a few chapters in when I realized the back story would need more than one book to do it right.  The result?  The back story went five novels, but now I think I’ve got it.

Yes, in the end the Novan Witch became the lead in for an entire series, a series that was written as a back story for another series. (which I have yet to write.)

So, that’s it, the story behind the story.  Now, go ahead and enjoy the story.

She’s Back!

Hey folks,

Well, we finally got it done.  Shortly after the attack of September 2001, the shockwaves touched far more lives than one would believe.  A few months after that I wrote a story about one of those unexpected victims.  Recently we took the book down and gave it a new edit and a new cover.  I’m pleased to tell you she’s back and ready for your inspection.  Here’s Kassidy.

e-book

This is a sweet romance about taking chances, accepting risks, and finding ways to live up to and beyond expectations, of being true to yourself while embracing another.  Go ahead, check it out.  It’s a good read and it’ll help you pass the time until the third Elvish Chronicle comes out later this month.  (Projected publication timeline.)
