After the Fall

Hey folks,

Well much of the storm has passed and now it’s time to breathe.  The work of clean up can be hard and tiring.  At the end of day is a perfect time to sit back and relax with a good book.  Here are a few suggestions and where to find them on Playster.

A Simple Twist of Fate: https://play.playster.com/books/10009780692739235

Relax and let me take you away from this world for a while, enjoy the adventure.
So, until next time,

The First One

Hi folks,

I’ll tell you where it began, and how, but it was long ages before she arrived here in our midst.  The blood drinker, vampire.  How did she become what she is, how did she get this way?  It was a collision of events, and against seemingly impossible odds, it happened.  The first immortal was created.  It would be millenia before another appeared.

To get a small sense of the endless years, the loneliness, the hunger, the driving need for blood, you’ll have to read her story.   Therein you will learn of how she came to be, and of how she managed to survive into this age.  You will also get a glimpse of what it will take for her to continue to exist unseen, her and her offspring, for she is no longer the lone vampire.

Originally this was meant to be a stand alone book, but so many of you encouraged me to write more I did a sequel.  Yeah, you guessed it, I’m currently working on book five of the series.  We hope to get it out this fall.

So, go ahead, check out the woman from the distant past.  Step out of this world and into another for a few hours, share the adventure with her.

Until next time,

Yep, She Did It Again.

Hey folks,

Well, she did it again.  The publisher put up Novan Witch for $0.99.  I have no idea how long the sale will last, so grab a copy today.

Novan Witch by Prudence MacLeod

Got it, okay great, now before you start reading, let me tell you how it came to be.  I had an idea for a series about a race of super humans.  As I began to work on it I realized I had way too much back story, so I decided to make the back story a novel on it’s own.  So far so good, but I was barely a few chapters in when I realized the back story would need more than one book to do it right.  The result?  The back story went five novels, but now I think I’ve got it.

Yes, in the end the Novan Witch became the lead in for an entire series, a series that was written as a back story for another series. (which I have yet to write.)

So, that’s it, the story behind the story.  Now, go ahead and enjoy the story.

She’s Back!

Hey folks,

Well, we finally got it done.  Shortly after the attack of September 2001, the shockwaves touched far more lives than one would believe.  A few months after that I wrote a story about one of those unexpected victims.  Recently we took the book down and gave it a new edit and a new cover.  I’m pleased to tell you she’s back and ready for your inspection.  Here’s Kassidy.

This is a sweet romance about taking chances, accepting risks, and finding ways to live up to and beyond expectations, of being true to yourself while embracing another.  Go ahead, check it out.  It’s a good read and it’ll help you pass the time until the third Elvish Chronicle comes out later this month.  (Projected publication timeline.)

Free!! Books Free!!!

Hi folks,

So, now that I have your attention, let me tell you the deal and the catch. http://shadoepublishing.com/  is looking for a few ARC readers.  Here’s how it works.  You agree to read the book before it gets published.  When it goes live you have to write a review of said book, post it on Amazon, Goodreads, or wherever you like, and post links to it on social media.  Not such a bad deal at that, right?

Oh, and yes, some of my books will become available to the ARC readers as well as the books from many of the other great writers who publish with Shadoe Publishing.  I expect the third Elvish Chronicle will be one of them.

So, if you’re interested, check it out here: FB ARC Readers

Okay, now back to work for me.

Unexpected Action

Hey Folks,

I recently heard that my publisher http://shadoepublishing.com  has suddenly dropped the price on all my books, even going so far as to drop my best seller to $0.99.  I have to tell you, this move caught me by surprise.  I’ve always thought of her as a rational woman, but there you go.

So, go ahead and check out any and all my books and see for yourself.  http://prudencemacleod.com  Now’s the time to grab a bargain while I try to talk sense to …

The Ghost Piper

Hi folks,

I know, it’s been a while since I posted. Truth is, life got in the way and I didn’t have a lot to report. However, today, let me tell you a ghost story. High on a hill above the village where I grew up sat an old house. It looked over the whole village and the harbour beyond, the driveway was lined with maple trees. The house was occupied by an old man who passed away when I was a teenager. (Long long ago in a galaxy far far away) Every summer his grandson, a piper, would come to visit and greet the dawn with the pipes. I truly cherish the memory of that sound.

When I first began writing seriously, I wrote a romance story featuring the house and surrounding landscape. I also added the ghost with a bagpipe. The resulting book was called (of course) Ghost Piper. I self published it years ago. Recently we took it down, gave it a tune up, a fresh edit, and an awesome new cover. Here’s where to find it.

If you enjoy a gentle romance, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this one. Go ahead, it’s a perfect weekend read.

Okay, now, for what’s new and coming up. We have a new book in the Children of the Wild series coming soon. I’m hoping to see it out by the middle of May. It’s got vampires, werewolves, werehawks, secret agents, and a bunch more of the strange and unusual. Next post I’ll give you a peek inside the pages.

So for now

Road Trip!!!

Hi folks,

Today I want to tell you about the Road Home. It was a trip to write and I’m thrilled with the way the book has turned out. There were many stories I could have written about that trip, each one worthy of a book by itself. So, instead of writing a thousand page book, I decided to touch on many of the stories, plant the seeds as it were, and explore each one in more depth in succeeding books. So, for a great read and a hint of many things to come in the Elvish Chronicles, Check out The Road Home.

Get your copy today, you won’t be disappointed.

So what am I working on now? Why the next adventure in the Children of the Wild series of course. I’ll give you a few peeks inside when I get closer to the end.
