Resolutions for a writer (Me)

Hey Folks,

Well, it’s that time of year again. Resolution time. Last year I fell pretty short. Actually, I fell and broke my ribs. That put a serious cramp in my style as well as holding me back writing wise. So, now I’m all healed up and it’s time to start again. Here we go. This is my resolve face, aka, What the hell was I thinking?

What

First resolution for 2016. I resolve to undertake a study of English and of writing skills so I can bring you a better product. We all want to be better writers and the way to do that is to study and learn. We can always learn something new and useful.

Second resolution for 2016. I resolve to do more to help my fellow writers in the coming year. I don’t just mean buy, read, and review but also to assist with social media. I am a member of a wonderful writers group filled with many gifted storytellers. So, for you authors in my group or friends list, if you post about a book release, rest assured I will share your post.

Third resolution for 2016. I will face the sad reality of my lack of promotional skills and make a concerted effort to improve them. Yep, time to step out of the old comfort zone.

On that note, I wish you all a happy and prosperous year ahead.

Bless

Pru

That’s a very generous resolution Pru. Writing and marketing is a tough gig. For many, self promotion isn’t an easy thing to do. There seems to be a fine line between pleasant and obnoxious. Do too much and it can be a complete turn off. I think it’s all in the way it’s done. It takes some finesse, but I think you got a good handle on that. I just hope 2016 is a better year for you. 🙂
